The E-ISAC is operated on behalf of the Electricity Subsector by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation. It offers security services to owner and operator organizations of the Bulk Power System across North America. The E-ISAC's mission is to be the trusted source for Electricity Subsector security information. The E-ISAC:
- Gathers and analyzes security information
- Coordinates incident management
- Communicates mitigation strategies with stakeholders within the Electricity Subsector, across interdependent sectors, and with government partners

The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) is a 24x7 cyber situational awareness, incident response, and management center that is a national nexus of cyber and communications integration for the Federal Government, intelligence community, and law enforcement. https://www.dhs.gov/national-cybersecurity-and-communications-integration-center
The NCCIC is comprised of four branches:
- NCCIC Operations and Integration (NO&I):
- United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT):
- US-CERT strives for a safer, stronger Internet for all Americans by responding to major incidents, analyzing threats, and exchanging critical cybersecurity information with trusted partners around the world.
- Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT):
- The Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT) mission is to guide a cohesive effort between government and industry to improve the cyber security posture of control systems within the nation's critical infrastructure. NCCIC/ICS-CERT assists control systems vendors and asset owners/operators to identify security vulnerabilities and develop sound mitigation strategies that strengthen their cyber security posture and reduce risk.

- The National Coordinating Center for Communications (NCC) continuously monitors national and international incidents and events that may impact emergency communications. Incidents include not only acts of terrorism, but also natural events such as tornadoes, floods, hurricanes and earthquakes. In cases of emergency, NCC Watch leads emergency communications response and recovery efforts under Emergency Support Function #2 of the National Response Framework.

- Develops and enforces Reliability Standards
- Annually assesses seasonal and long-term reliability
- Monitors the bulk power system through system awareness
- Educates, trains, and certifies industry personnel.
